Mac OS X

Mac OS X disk image (.dmg file) with and pkg installer is create for each release and is distributed in the main ftp area just next to the source code.

Ubuntu

The binaries can be found on the ftp site, but is easier to to the package manager. Description for each version below.

• Ubuntu Gutsy - 7.10

  • Start the package manager from the System/Administration menu.
  • Open the Repositories menu from the Settings menu.
  • Click on the Third-Party Software tab.
  • Click on the Add button
  • Type

    deb http://www.pdc.kth.se/ftp/pub/heimdal/binary/ubuntu/gutsy

  • Click the Add Source+ button
  • Close the Repositories menu
  • Click the Reload button to retrieve the package info
  • Click Search and search for heimdal-clients
  • Mark heimdal-clients for installation
  • Install heimdal-clients by clicking the Apply button at the top
